As part of the Magruder Expansion project, water and medical gas will be tied in to the LINAC building on the north end of Magruder Hall. There will be a domestic water shutdown to the Large Animal wing and a medical gas shutdown to the entire building at Magruder Hall. Water for the rest of the hospital will not be turned off.

In support of the Pharmacy chiller replacement project the building air handler unit will be shut down to treat and seal a drip pan. The shutdown will occur Sunday, October 20th from 7am to 7am on Monday October 21st.  The shutdown will affect air flow and heat throughout the building.

Notice: Exhaust Fan Shutdown Ag. Life & Sciences Building

Effective Date(s): October 10, 2019 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Due to emergency repairs one of the exhaust fans for the Agricultural & Life Sciences Building will be shutdown tomorrow, October 10, from 7am to 4pm.  The other two exhaust fans will remain operational.  This will affect building pressurization and airflow building wide.  Fume hoods will still be operational but sashes should be left closed when not in use.

A planned power service interruption will occur on Thursday, September 5, beginning at 5 a.m. and last through Friday, September 6, at 7 a.m. The work to be performed by Pacific Power includes replacing switches and cables that feed certain buildings along Southwest Jefferson Way.

Instructions for Affected Employees

During these service interruptions, we expect that most employees’ work schedules will not be impacted. However, hourly classified employees and salaried non-exempt classified and unclassified employees scheduled to work when buildings are without power should consult with their supervisors regarding work schedules during these temporary interruptions. As part of the Alumni Center HVAC Replacement project, the contractor is replacing air conditioning units on top of the facility. The parking lot to the east of the building will be closed (map). The crane work is anticipated to be completed by 2:00pm.

Concrete and Pump trucks will be parked outside the east entry of Dixon Recreation Center. The east side entrance will remain open during concrete pour however, staff members will reroute east entrance traffic through the maintenance hallway to the locker rooms.

GBC Construction will be placing the new chiller on the roof of Dixon Recreation Center beginning at 6pm on Tuesday July 23rd. Parking between Dixon and Goss Stadium will be closed beginning at 6am Tuesday 7/23. Work is expected to be completed by 6am on Wednesday 7/24. Short-term parking for pickup/drop off of recreational equipment rentals will be accommodated throughout the day on 7/23.
