As part of the Kerr Admin Basement TI project, the fire sprinkler system will be shut down so contractors can work on the sprinklers in the Kerr Admin B008 suite. Additional time is needed to perform and complete the work that began on 10/4/2019.

A planned power service interruption will occur on Thursday, September 5, beginning at 5 a.m. and last through Friday, September 6, at 7 a.m. The work to be performed by Pacific Power includes replacing switches and cables that feed certain buildings along Southwest Jefferson Way.

Instructions for Affected Employees

During these service interruptions, we expect that most employees’ work schedules will not be impacted. However, hourly classified employees and salaried non-exempt classified and unclassified employees scheduled to work when buildings are without power should consult with their supervisors regarding work schedules during these temporary interruptions. As part of the Alumni Center HVAC Replacement project, the contractor is replacing air conditioning units on top of the facility. The parking lot to the east of the building will be closed (map). The crane work is anticipated to be completed by 2:00pm.
