Welcome to the Morgun and Shulzhenko Labs!

Although formally located in two colleges (Veterinary Medicine & Pharmacy), we are working as one group. The central theme  of our research is to better understand interactions between the gut microbiome and the host in health and disease.

This is typically accomplished through the use of reconstructing transkingdom networks. These networks then get analyzed to find key regulators that control the progression from a healthy to diseased state. More details can be found in our lab’s recent publication on the subject.
