Student Assistant Position: The College of Forestry Dean’s Office at Oregon State University (OSU) seeks a Student Assistant who will be responsible for administrative and communications tasks as part of the student reception team. This is a part-time position with hours ranging 10-20 a week between the hours of 8am-5pm with opportunity to work over breaks and summer. Work hours will be scheduled in coordination with other student workers and may vary term to term. This position begins in mid-September with the opportunity to work this summer if desired. Academics for Student Athletes Positions: OSU students interested in working for ASA need to at least be entering their junior year and hold a 3.0 overall GPA. Below is a short summary about the positions. Please have any interested students email me directly (clint.edwards@oregonstate.edu) and include a copy of their unofficial transcript and resume.

  • ASA study facilitators manage tables as part of a study facilitator team. Each study table holds 3-5 students. Study facilitators are expected to work M-Th from 6:30-8:00PM, and provide guidance and support to students athletes in developing good study habits and completing assignments, as well as creating an environment conducive to learning.
  • ASA Tutors help with both assigned content areas and academic skills (time management, note taking, organization, etc.). This requires differentiating instruction/assistance to match the strengths of the student. Tutors work a flexible schedule with reoccurring weekly appointments.

Student Logging Training Program: Commercial Thinning/Skyline Logging Technician. This recruitment will be used to fill six to eight part-time (8 to 20 hours per week) Student Technical Assistant positions for the Forest Engineering, Resources and Management Department at Oregon State University (OSU). Perform all phases of designing, analyzing, and safely implementing commercial thinning with the Koller K501 yarder, Link-Belt 3240 loader, and a John Deere 648L skidder.
