Hello College of Forestry Undergrads! Graduating seniors, this message is for you!!
Spring term is already flying by and graduation is right around the corner. Seniors may be getting anxious about what to do to ensure their timely graduation from Oregon State. Here is a checklist of things to do to make sure you graduate as planned:
- Reserve your place at the ceremony
- Register for Commencement at myosu.oregonstate.edu by April 24 to get your name printed in the 2015 Commencement program. The last date to register for Commencement participation is May 29!
- Attend the Grad Fair
- The Grad Fair is in the OSU Beaver Store on April 20-21 from 10 am to 4 pm. At this event, you can purchase your cap and gown, class ring, yearbook, and commencement announcements. Visit osubeaverstore.com/graduationcenter for more info!
- Review your MyDegrees Audit with your adviser
- Talk to your adviser and make sure you are on track to graduate the term that you are registered to do so! No one likes unpleasant surprises.
- Ensure all your course work is completed
- Although “senioritis” is probably in full swing, make sure to get the last classes on your to-do list completed.
- For spring term graduates to be eligible to receive a diploma at commencement, all incomplete grades for required courses must be resolved and transfer credits must be on file before May 8.
- Review preliminary grades for spring term
- Oregon State faculty will award preliminary grades to graduating spring term students by May 11. Be on the look out for that information! If your ability to graduate is in question, you will be notified by your adviser or the Registrar’s Office.
