Education
Ph.D. Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, Oregon State University, Corvallis, OR (2016-Present)
B.S.Ed. Chemistry & Earth/Space Science, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor MI (2015)
Research Interests:
biogeochemistry, heavy stable isotope geochemistry, environmental geochemistry
I am interested in tracing the pathways of heavy metals in the environment to consider and mitigate the consequences of environmental perturbations on life in the ocean and on land. My current work seeks to improve our understanding of oysters as biomonitors of ocean corrosivity and to develop mitigation strategies for culturing oysters in Oregon’s increasingly corrosive waters.
