The core of the STEMLinks project is a virtual mentoring program that connects women in STEM careers with women who have chosen a STEM major in college.<\/p>\n
I used Google scholar, JSTOR and the ERIC database to search for scholarly articles that discuss virtual\/web-based mentoring. I used Google to search for popular educational resources on virtual\/web-based mentoring.<\/p>\n
I used a blog format for the lesson. I created a free wordpress website to host the STEMLinks pages since it allows the most flexibility for hosting different content types. I enabled comments on the blog post in order to facilitate online interaction on the lesson.<\/p>\n
