An approach to alter the physicochemical characters of Myristic acid Using The Trivedi Effect

Myristic acid, a tetradecanoic fatty acid found in nutmeg, palm oil, coconut oil, butter fat, and spermacetin. It is mostly used as a flavor ingredient in the food industry. The impact of Mr. Mahendra Kumar Trivedi’s unique biofield energy treatment, also known as The Trivedi Effect® was studied on myristic acid, and its physiochemical characteristics were analyzed using standard analytical techniques. The unique results using standard methods such as X-ray diffraction (XRD), Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, and Laser particle size analyzer were published in the peer-reviewed International journal entitled as “Journal of Fundamentals of Renewable Energy and Applications”. Myristic acid has been used widely in the cosmetic industry such as fragrance ingredient, opacifying agent, surfactant, cleansing agent, and as emulsifier. Due to its high absorption rate, primarily used as lubricant. The stability aspect is still a major issue, and several research has been conducted to improve its characteristic properties to reduce the toxicity. With this aspect, biofield treatment was studied and result findings suggest that increased crystallite size (27.07%) analyzed by XRD, while DSC studies showed increase in melting temperature of treated myristic acid as compared to the control. Moreover, latent heat of fusion (ΔH) was also altered (10.16%), as TGA analysis showed less weight loss (31.33%) as compared to control sample (60.49%). The FT-IR results showed increase in frequency of –CH2 and C=O stretching vibrations, probably associated with enhanced bond strength and force constant of the respective bonds. Biofield treatment showed overall decrease in particle size (d50 and d99) as compared with the control. The overall data suggest that Mr. Trivedi’s unique biofield energy has the capacity to alter the physical, spectroscopic and thermal properties of Myristic acid. The enhanced crystallite size, and thermal stability of treated myristic acid could be used as phase change material for thermal energy storage applications in future.
