- April 21, 2015: Career Development Center Networking and Interviewing Skills Practice. 2-4 PM Speed Mock Interviews and 4:30-6 PM Mocktail Hour with refreshments and networking opportunity. - June 1, 2015: Subject Area Exam Scores for Professional Level Due
- June 12, 2015: College of Education Graduation Ceremony 4-5:30 PM in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Invitations will be sent in early May by University Events to students who have applied to graduate. You will RSVP the number of guests in your party who will be in attendance. Refreshments will be served.
Announcements:
- Professional Level/Student Teaching Cohort Applications for 2015-2016 were due Wednesday, April 1. We will be contacting applicants about their applications by the end of April once all of the applications have been reviewed.
- The College of Education has a new student lounge on the 4th floor of Furman Hall! Stop by and check it out. The floor also has a microwave, refrigerator, and computer lab area that students can use, too.
- Licensure exam study guides are available in the OSU Valley Library on reserve. We have also ordered copies of What Your Fourth/Fifth Grader Needs to Know since students have found them to be a valuable resource for test preparation, too.
- Beaver Careers will now be featuring available teaching positions and educator job fairs on their website. http://career.oregonstate.edu/students
- The Career Development Center has recently appointed a staff person to assist College of Education students with career services. Malia Arenth will be joining our Student Services Team in Furman 104 in the coming months! She will be an outstanding resource to everyone on their career journey.
- If you haven’t made an advising appointment with me this year, spring term is a great time to check in! Call our office at 541-737-4661 to schedule an advising appointment.
- College of Education Ambassador Applications for the 2015-2016 year will be available May 1st in Furman 104 and will be due Friday, May 15. This form of service looks great on your resume! Please contact Karla Rockhold for more information.
