Dr. Craig Marcus, <a title=\"OSU SRP Training Core\" href=\"http:\/\/superfund.oregonstate.edu\/trainingcore\" target=\"_blank\">Training Core<\/a> Leader, traveled with two trainees, Erin Madeen (<a title=\"OSU SRP Project 1\" href=\"http:\/\/superfund.oregonstate.edu\/project1\" target=\"_blank\">Project 1<\/a>) and Andrea Knecht (<a title=\"OSU SRP Project 3\" href=\"http:\/\/superfund.oregonstate.edu\/project3\" target=\"_blank\">Project 3<\/a>).<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_529\" class=\"wp-caption thumbnail alignleft\" style=\"width: 265px;\">\n    <a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/superfund\/files\/2014\/04\/Erin.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-529\" alt=\"OSU SRP Trainee Erin Madeen (Project 1) spent time chatting with Michael Denison, (PI, Project 5) of the UC Davis Superfund Center.  \" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/superfund\/files\/2014\/04\/Erin.jpg\" width=\"265\" height=\"289\" \/><\/a>\n    <figcaption class=\"wp-caption-text\">OSU SRP Trainee Erin Madeen (Project 1) spent time chatting with Michael Denison, (PI, Project 5) of the UC Davis Superfund Center.<\/figcaption>\n    <\/figure>\n<p>UC Davis invited us to display posters about our Center within their display area.\u00a0 Having the OSU SRP there was great, because UC Davis could direct their attention to our work to learn specifically about <a title=\"All about PAHs\" href=\"http:\/\/superfund.oregonstate.edu\/about_PAHs\" target=\"_blank\">PAHs<\/a>; how people are exposed and how they affect human and environmental health.<\/p>\n<p>Besides research posters, the booth had over 125 children engaged in a &#8216;toxin hunt&#8217; activity. Dr. Marcus and the trainees also had opportunities to interact individually with the leadership and project leaders of several projects in\u00a0the UC Davis Superfund Center to make additional connections and establish new collaborations.
