STUDENT OPPORTUNITIES

Contact me with questions regarding potential opportunities and projects or with interest in pursuing independent funding.

Prospective graduate students:

I work with students pursuing graduate degrees in Geology, Ocean, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences (OEAS), Water Resources, and Environmental Sciences. More information about these programs may be found at: http://ceoas.oregonstate.edu/academics/graduate/http://oregonstate.edu/gradwater/, and http://envsci.science.oregonstate.edu/graduate.

The OSU Graduate School administers a number of prestigious scholarships and fellowships. Let me know if you think you are a good candidate—departments submit nominations.

Undergraduate research opportunities:

Interested in gaining research experience? Consider applying to the Oregon State Undergraduate Research, Innovation, Scholarship & Creativity (URISC) Program or URSA Engage Program. Additional funding opportunities for research and experiential learning are available for University Honors College students. Research funds are available for CEOAS Geology majors, contact Kaplan Yalcin for an application. For summer research internships apply to the CEOAS REU program (anticipated deadline mid-February).
