The largest crate is too big to make it up the second floor lab in the elevator so it was brought in through the second story window! We are ready for the install!
Our Nu Plasma 3D MC-ICP-MS flew from the UK to Portland and was transported from Portland to Corvallis on a truck. Four crates in total—the heaviest crate is 1500 lb.!
A new ICP-OES will be installed in the Keck Lab early January. The acquisition was funded by a RERF grant from OSU (lead PI Adam Kent). Learn more about the Keck Lab and the other instruments housed there at http://wmkeck-icpms.coas.oregonstate.edu.
Drs. Shiel, Kent, Haley, and Pett-Ridge received NSF MRI grant to acquire a new multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer for isotopic studies in earth and environmental studies.
