The OSU School IPM Program works to improve pest management in schools and other sensitive sites while reducing costs and risks.
Asthma is the leading cause of absenteeism in schools. This directly affects academic achievement. Mice and cockroaches are asthma triggers. These and other pests can be vectors of serious diseases such as Lyme disease, typhus, plague and West Nile virus.
Pests of public health concern can be a problem in other ‘sensitive sites’ such as adult care facilities, multifamily housing, city parks and other public spaces where people live, work and play.
You can support our work to improve people’s health and safety while reducing the costs to control pests. Your donation will allow us to provide objective, research-based information and assistance to schools and other public spaces.
All donations are tax-deductible and will directly support the OSU School IPM Program.
