The Thorton FFA Collegiate Scholarship has been established to encourage FFA members in Oregon to pursue higher educational opportunities in agriculture with the ultimate goal of seeking a career in agriculture. Application is a PDF file located on link provided.

Eligibility:

  • Must be U.S. citizen, Oregon high school graduate, and have been Oregon FFA members a minimum of their junior and senior years.
  • At least 2.8 cumulative GPA.
  • Must be undergraduates enrolled in an agriculture degree program in production agriculture, agriculture education, agriculture business, or veterinary medicine at any Oregon community college or university offering a degree in agriculture.
  • Student must be enrolled full time to receive and maintain award.

The applicant’s chosen field of study must be in Maritime Affairs and/or International Trade, and must enrolled in a 4-year, 2-year institution or Graduate degree program.

Eligibility:

  • The applicant must maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.
  • The applicant must demonstrate academic achievement and have exemplary qualities in personal character. Financial need may be considered if other factors are equal.
  • One (1) letter of recommendation from a professor or direct supervisor
