Garcia, Artigliere, Medby & Faulkner endows a scholarship for law school or nursing students who demonstrate the highest level of acumen.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be accepted to or attending an accredited college or university in the United States.
  • The applicant must be a law school or nursing student or an undergraduate student with a declared major related to law or nursing.
  • Must submit an essay of up to 1,000 words (maximum) answering one of the following questions:1. “As the elderly population continues to grow, so does the importance of ensuring the safety of those in elder care. If you had the authority, how would you make changes in the elder care industry to improve the quality of care for those in need?”
  • 2. “How has a grandparent or other senior in your life inspired you or otherwise impacted your life in a positive way? ”

Scholarships for Women

The American Association for University Women recently reported that 53% of women have high student loan debt just one year after graduation, compared to 39% of men. Many women also face the added difficulties of trying to go to college for the first time later in life, returning to school after long gaps of time, and attaining a degree while being a single parent.

Eligibility:

  • Identify as female
  • Have legal U.S. resident status
  • Meet specific GPA, SAT, GRE, or other merit requirements
  • Enrolled in an accredited program
  • Plan to study a specific subject or field
  • Over a certain age
  • Pursuing a first degree
  • Meet specific financial need requirements

The Bohn & Fletcher Scholarship- $1,000

Please write a 800-1,500 word essay about how you have and/or plan to use your undergraduate education to serve a community. What ways, if any, has/will the law or our current legal system support(ed) or hinder(ed) your endeavors? What changes, if any, would you suggest be made to our laws or our legal system in relation to your efforts to improve society? How will receiving this scholarship help you achieve your goals?
