Nitro Parent Scholarship – $2,500

Nitro cares about helping parents fund their children’s college education. That’s why they are offering PARENTS the opportunity to earn a $2,500 scholarship for their child who is enrolling in a college for the first time in the upcoming school year.

Eligibility:

  • The Nitro Parent Scholarship is open to all legal residents of the United States and the District of Columbia who have a child who is enrolling in an accredited college or university for the first time this coming school year.
  • Complete the Scholarship Survey Questions.
  • Answer two (2) short-answer questions
    • a) Visit NitroCollege.com, read an article or two and then tell us something you learned that you didn’t know before about paying for college. Be sure to mention the URL of the page where you learned this. (50 to 250 words)
    • b) What advice would you give to a parent of a high school freshman on how to make paying for college easier and more affordable? (50 to 250 words)
  •  Complete the social component of the application:
    • a) Choose a platform (Twitter, Facebook or Instagram) and then follow and/or like @NitroCollege on your chosen platform,
    • b) Post a photo or tweet telling the world how Nitro helps you pay for college  using the hashtag #NitroParent.

Personal Injury Law Scholarship- $1,500

A 500-word minimum essay explaining you or your family’s personal injury accident & how it changed your everyday outlook and possible future plans. Special preferences will be given to members of a family that has recently been injured in a car accident.

Eligibility:

  • This scholarship is available to high school seniors and current college students nationwide who plan on attending, or are attending, an accredited 4-year college/university or 2-year accredited community college in the Fall.
  • The applicant or the applicant’s family must have been involved in a personal injury accident.
  •  Are a citizen, national or legal permanent resident of the United States. • Must have a minimum 3.0 GPA.
  •  A current transcript MUST be submitted for consideration.

Military Scholarship- $1,000

In order to apply to the Military Scholarship Program, you will be required to submit a 250 word response to the following essay question about your service:

How has your military service better prepared you to enhance your education?

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be military active duty, honorably discharged, veteran, or a spouse from any branch of the military.
  • This contest is open only to those legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia
  •  Who are eighteen (18) years of age or older at the time of application

The Healthline Stronger Scholarship Program- $10,000

Healthline is proud to be awarding two $10,000 scholarships to students enrolled in graduate school for the Fall Semester. While we aim to educate on all things health and wellness, we have especially strong bonds with several health condition communities. Type 2 Diabetes affects almost 30 million people in the U.S. alone, and diabetes is growing at epidemic rates worldwide. We’re looking for people who are in some way connected to type 2 diabetes and want to use their advanced degree to help make the world a stronger, healthier place, whether as an advocate, resource, or part of the healthcare industry itself.

As part of the application process, you will be required to upload answers to 3 essay questions that describe how you are committed to one of Healthline’s core values, how you are connected to type 2 diabetes, and how you will use your education to impact the community.

In this spirit of advocacy, we created the Children’s Dentistry of Charlottesville Child Empowerment Scholarship program. We hope to embolden and give support to those who choose a path that assists children in living happier and healthier lives.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate college or university and will continue enrollment for the next academic year or are applying to enroll at an undergraduate college or university for the next academic year.

In an effort to give back to our community, attorney Greg Baumgartner is offering a $1000 scholarship to help a young person obtain an education.  The scholarship targets a student who is paying their way through school without parental assistance.

Eligibility:

  •  Applicants must be enrolled in either high school or college in the United States.
  • Must maintain a GPA with at least a B average.
  • Write a very short essay (not to exceed 200 words) about yourself, your educational goals and the reasons for needing a scholarship and include it in your email application.
