The OSU Retirement Association (OSURA) provides scholarship support to undergraduate students at Oregon State University who are majoring in a subject that contributes to a career promoting healthy aging.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a currently enrolled OSU undergraduate.
  • Student must have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or better.
  • Student must have completed at least one academic year at OSU and have at least one year of study yet to be completed towards their first bachelor’s degree.

Scholarship award between $750 and $1,500 per student.

Accessible mental health care would have a positive impact on susceptible individuals who suffer from suicidal tendencies. Furthermore, the leading method of suicide involves using firearms. Legislation could make health care mandatory for people who need it, profoundly helping them, as well as limiting or regulating access to the firearms which cause the injuries. Mr. Fisher has established a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 to a student who is interested in these issues. Applicants should discuss how legislation addressing U.S. health care and/or access to firearms could help these people.

The Randall G. Fox Memorial Scholarship was established to honor Randall and his passion for collegiate sports to support future OSU Cycling Club Members who, like Randall, are both dedicated students and cyclists. Randall demonstrated a strong commitment to the cycling team by riding from Albany to Corvallis each weekend for team rides, spending time with young riders and fostering team growth by building a community. The Randall G. Fox Memorial Scholarship continues his legacy on the team and honor the dedication and love Randall had for cycling, the team, and racing.

Criteria: ​In order for you to be considered for the Randall G. Fox Memorial Scholarship, you must be a student with a Winter Term 2018 overall GPA of 3.0 or above, attending OSU in the Fall, and an active, contributing member of the Oregon State University Cycling Club.

Amount of Award:​ Two scholarships are available. The amount of each scholarship is $1,000. ​Scholarships will be applied to Fall term 2018​.
