Student Veterans of America is proud to partner with PNC Bank to award two $10,000 scholarships to student veterans that define “Serving With Integrity.”

Eligibility

Eligible student veterans must meet the below outlined minimum criteria:

  • Be pursuing a degree from an accredited institution of higher learning in finance, business administration, or related fields
  • Be honorably discharged from Active Duty or currently serving in the Guard or Reserve
  • Submit proof of military service (DD214)
  • Submit proof of enrollment in an accredited U.S. institution of higher education (transcript)

Eligibility:

  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelors, or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution of higher education for the 2015/2016 academic year.
  • Must have a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.

  • Submit proof of enrollment in an accredited U.S. institution of higher education (transcript)

Eight (8) scholarships in the amount of $10,000 each will be awarded to student veterans pursuing a degree in the field of computer science.

Eligibility:

  • Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2015-2016 academic year
  • Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-­time student at a university in the United States for the 2015-­2016 academic year
  • Maintain strong academic performance
  • Be pursuing a Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree, or a degree in a closely related technical field*
  • Be a current student veteran (includes members of the National Guard or National Reserve), as proven by a DD-214 and transcript, OR be a student on Active Duty as proven by submission of Active Duty orders and a Memorandum of Understanding from your commanding officer indicating that you are in good standing with your unit and transcript
  • Have received an honorable discharge, or currently be in good standing with his/her branch of service
*Related Technical Fields may include:
  • Software Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering (with a heavy computer science course load)
  • Computer Engineering

This contest is open to current U.S. undergraduate students. The winner will receive a one-time $1,000 scholarship. Applicants must submit a video showcasing their talents in the performing arts.

  • Must be a current undergraduate majoring in dance, theater, music, performing arts or related field.

The McKenzie Law firm is pleased to announce our first scholarship award for students who seek to further their educational goals. The Legacy Planning Scholarship wants to bring awareness to students about advanced financial planning and fiscal responsibility.

“Imagine that you are 80 years old and you are only now planning your will.  What would you want your legacy to be? Write a letter from your ideal future self to your current self, explaining what you will accomplish over the next 10 years, how you will accomplish it, and what the continuing impact of those accomplishments will be after you are gone.”

Eligibility:

  • Student must be enrolled in a post High School Education
  • Preference will be given to Veterans
  • Proof of attendance or acceptance at a certified school.
