Wallowa County Agricultural Resource Foundation Stockgrowers Memorial Scholarship

Purpose:This scholarship is offered to encourage participation in the field of agriculture.  Funds for this scholarship include donations in memory and in honor of men and women who have contributed to the livestock industry in Wallowa County.

Eligibility:

  • To be considered, a student must be enrolled in a school of agriculture, school of forestry, or other natural resource related area of study beyond the high school level.
  • Applicants should be residents of Wallowa County and should have attended school in Wallowa County.
  • Both graduating high school seniors and students presently enrolled in post high school programs are eligible for consideration. (Preference given to applicants with at least college sophomore standing.)

Wallowa County Stockgrowers Association Probert-Boucher Memorial Scholarship

Purpose:This scholarship is offered to encourage participation in a field that is directly or indirectly related to agriculture (Examples: Home Economics, Mechanical Engineering,Business, Forestry, Ag. Sciences, etc.) Funds for this scholarship award have been donated by family and friends in memory of Helen Boucher and Jim & C Belle Probert. These individuals encouraged youth to strive for their goals and were known for their generosity in helping Wallowa County students reach their goals and pursue higher education in agriculture and other rural related studies.

Eligibility:

  • To be considered, a student must be enrolled in a school beyond the high school level.
  • Applicants should be residents of Wallowa County and should have attended school in Wallowa County.
  • Both graduating seniors and students presently enrolled in post high school programs are eligible for consideration.

Due to The Higgins Firm’s passion for public service and desire to encourage those considering entering this arena with the inspiration of Judge Bill Higgins behind them, they are honored to present the Judge Bill Higgins Public Service Scholarship. The scholarship will award $500 to the student that best expresses their thoughts on the importance of public servants with insight and creativity.

Eligibility:

  • This scholarship is offered to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess a GED.
  • The scholarship candidate must possess an interest in public service, as demonstrated by past and present volunteer, professional, and educational experiences.
  • All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above

The Surgent Professional Education Scholarship and Surgent CPA Student Scholarship is open to any currently-enrolled business students working towards an accounting major and currently attending an accredited college or university within the United States. Three winners will be chosen for this scholarship. First prize will receive $1,000, while two runners-up will receive $500 a piece.
