The NSDAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse disciplines including history, law, nursing, and education.

Eligibility:

  • Students must be citizens of the United States
  • Student must attend or plan to attend an accredited college or university in the United States
  • DAR chapter sponsorship is not required; however, a chapter or state chairman may work with the applicant to put the information together to send to the DAR Scholarship Committee.

The National Association of Women in Construction has two scholarships available.

Undergraduate Scholarship

Eligibility: 

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in a construction-related degree program at a school in the United Sates and must have a least one term remaining in a course of study leading to a degree or an associate degree in a construction-related field. High school seniors are not eligible.
  • Applicant must desire a career in a construction-related field.
  • Applicant must be enrolled full-time.
  • Applicant must have a current cumulative GPA or 3.0 or higher to be considered for awards.

 

Construction Trades Scholarship 

Eligibility:

  • Applicant must be currently enrolled in a construction-related training program which is approved by the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training, community college, technical school or equivalent.
  • Applicant must be obtaining training in a construction-related craft or trade.

This program offers funding to Ph.D, Sc.D or M.D. scientists and engineers of unusual promise and ability to perform research and be sponsored by a laboratory/ receive yearly stipends to fund their research. Full time Associateships will be awarded on a competitive basis  for research in the fields of chemistry; earth, atmospheric and space sciences; engineering, applied sciences and computer science, life and medical sciences; mathematics; and physics.
