At Paramount Builders, Inc. we truly care about the youth and their education, and that’s why we are deeply committed to our annual college scholarship contest. Each year, we award a $1,000 college scholarship to one U.S. undergraduate in business, business management, advertising, sales, marketing, or related fields. Will you be our next award recipient?

Eligibility

  • Full-time, U.S. undergraduate seeking a degree in marketing, business management, sales or related field.
  • Must have a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA and provide a copy of their school transcript.
  • Submit an original 900 – 1,600 word essay entitled “Paramount Builders, Inc. Scholarship.”
    • Now more than ever, consumers are concerned about the environment and how it impacts our weather, and specifically our future. With that said, the essay must answer the following three (3) questions:
      1. In what ways do you believe replacing a home’s roof and/or windows preserves energy?
      2. Do you think these products pay for themselves, and if so, how? Feel free to include ways that may not be as obvious as others.
      3. How do you think these products might conserve even more energy in the future of technology advances?

There is much to be done before immigrants can enjoy the full benefits of a clear path to U.S. citizenship, and many individuals will strive in social, political, and legal arenas to achieve the necessary reforms for others. The individuals who desire to make a measurable difference in immigration reform must be well educated and have a hands-on understanding of the issues and policies in the U.S. and around the world.

Eligibility:

  • This scholarship is offered to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess a GED.
  • The scholarship candidate must possess a demonstrated interest in immigration reform and a dedication to their education.
  • All eligible candidates must be in good academic standing, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
  • Must submit a 750-word essay or statement that considers current immigration conditions and reforms in the United States and offers ways that these conditions might be improved, as well as the importance of immigration reform

Due to The Higgins Firm’s passion for public service and desire to encourage those considering entering this arena with the inspiration of Judge Bill Higgins behind them, they are honored to present the Judge Bill Higgins Public Service Scholarship. The scholarship will award $500 to the student that best expresses their thoughts on the importance of public servants with insight and creativity.

Eligibility:

  • This scholarship is offered to any student currently enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program in the United States. This includes incoming first-year college students who are high school graduates or possess a GED.
  • The scholarship candidate must possess an interest in public service, as demonstrated by past and present volunteer, professional, and educational experiences.

Zonta Club of Corvallis works on empowering women through service and advocacy.  Zonta has annual scholarships that can be found on their website zontacorvallis.org for women pursuing college in STEM fields, business and other majors.  As well as an award for women who have served in the armed forces.

Dr. Kurt Black, the founder of Timberhill Dental, is a strong advocate of staying active in the local community.  In this spirit of community support, he has created the Timberhill Dental Community Star Scholarship program. And you don’t have to be a local of Corvallis, OR! Anyone that meets the eligibility requirements can apply for this scholarship by describing how a college education will help them bring positive change to the health of their local community.

“If you had the ability to change the health of your local community in one positive way, what would it be?”

The Jane M. Klausman Women in Business Scholarships are awarded to women undertaking business studies who have demonstrated outstanding potential in the field. The Zonta Club of Corvallis offers a $3,000 scholarship.

Eligibility:

  • Any woman undertaking a business and/or business-related program at an accredited university/college/institute, in at least the second year of an undergraduate program through the final year of a Master’s program at the time the application is submitted, is eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be residing in Oregon and currently enrolled for a minimum of 12 credits at OSU and/or LBCC

Garcia, Artigliere, Medby & Faulkner endows a scholarship for law school or nursing students who demonstrate the highest level of acumen.

Eligibility

  • The applicant must be accepted to or attending an accredited college or university in the United States.
  • The applicant must be a law school or nursing student or an undergraduate student with a declared major related to law or nursing.
  • Must submit an essay of up to 1,000 words (maximum) answering one of the following questions:1. “As the elderly population continues to grow, so does the importance of ensuring the safety of those in elder care. If you had the authority, how would you make changes in the elder care industry to improve the quality of care for those in need?
  • 2. “How has a grandparent or other senior in your life inspired you or otherwise impacted your life in a positive way? ”

The Far West Agribusiness Association scholarship program has been designed to provide outstanding high school and collegiate undergraduate students with a chance to pursue their educational goals in college. There are two separate selection pools, one for graduating high school seniors and one for current college students. Scholarships are one year in length and will be awarded in various amounts up to (and not to exceed) $1,000 per student.

Eligibility:

  • Any full-time student from Washington, Idaho, Oregon, Utah, or Nevada, and is pursuing an undergraduate degree from a college or university in the United States
