McMurray Stern Scholarship- $500

“Please describe the most applicable and meaningful takeaways from your industrial engineering education so far. Expand on your thoughts with a discussion of your future career goals such as professional roles, workplaces, or accomplishments you are striving for. Graphic or creative presentations are welcome as well.”

Eligibility:

To be eligible for our scholarship contest, you must be: a legal US resident, and either a current (1) student at an accredited U.S.College or University, or (2) an undergraduate student who has applied or will apply to a U.S. College or University to further education in the hospitality field. Students with full academic scholarships are not eligible to enter this contest.

Proof of enrollment must be provided. We will accept digital scans of the following as a valid proof of enrollment via email attachment with your application:

  • Unofficial transcript (Applicant must submit by mail or email a copy of official transcripts if elected as a finalist).
  • Letter from Admissions confirming deposit on school letterhead
  • Official enrollment verification form
  • Acceptance letter on school letterhead

Additionally, you must:

  • Verify you have read and understand the McMurray Stern Scholarship requirements
  • Submit a readable copy of your entry (only one entry per student is allowed).

OuterBox Scholarship- $1,000

Bootcamp Scholarship Program

We’re pleased to announce the launch of two scholarship programs for coding bootcamp students.  Both programs are in the amount of a $2,000 tuition reduction to be applied to the student’s first billing cycle and are fully funded by The Software Guild.  Summary of each follows:

 

  1. Oregon State University Scholarship
    1. Available to all Oregon State Alumni, including past students of degree programs and students of OSU Professional and Continuing Education who have met the coding bootcamp qualifications, passed an audition and been offered a spot in the program
    2. Students must start the bootcamp program prior to December 31, 2017
    3. Next start date June 5th with monthly cohorts starting up to and including December 4, 2017
    4. TSG will market and promote the program in collaboration with your team
  2. Diversity Scholarship
    1. Available to online students who identify as either female and/or minority and/or have military status – reservists, active-duty or veterans
    2. Note:  the diversity scholarship is meant for online students who fall outside of the OSU alumni segments
    3. Students must start the bootcamp program prior to December 31, 2017
    4. Next start date June 5th with monthly cohorts starting up to December 4, 2017
    5. TSG will market and promote the program in collaboration with your team

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship

The Jackie Robinson Foundation provides a multi-faceted experience designed to not only address the financial needs of minority students who aspire to attend college but also to guide them through the process of higher education.

Eligibility:

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Plan to attend an accredited and approved four-year institution within the United States
  • Show leadership potential
  • Demonstrate a dedication to community service
  • Present evidence of financial need
  • Be a United States citizen
  • Have a minimum SAT score of 1,000 combined on the math and critical reading sections or a composite ACT score of 21
  • Not possess a degree from a 2 or 4–year College when applying for the scholarship

Full Circle Scholarship Program

The Full Circle Scholarship Program is awarded to students attending non-tribal colleges. These scholarships are funded through our partnerships with corporate and private donors and are available to American Indian/Alaska Native students attending public and private colleges and universities. The Full Circle scholarships are administered by the American Indian College Fund and are generally based upon merit or demonstrated financial need.

Eligibility:

  • U.S. citizens or Canadians eligible to attend college in the U.S. under provisions of the Jay Treaty
  • Enrolled in a certificate, associates, bachelors, or graduate program at an accredited tribal, public, or private (non-profit) college or university
  • Full-time enrollment
  • Registered as an enrolled member of a federal or state recognized tribe, or a descendant of at least one grandparent or parent who is an enrolled tribal member; Alaska Natives may use Native Corporation membership. You can use this website to trace Indian ancestry.
  • To be considered for any American Indian College Fund scholarship, you must have at least a 2.0 GPA to apply.

First in Family Scholarship- $1,000

Need Based Grants

Need based grant are awarded based on financial need. Like scholarships, grants do not have to be repaid.

Eligibility Requirements:

The eligibility requirements for a need based grant focus on your financial situation and the amount of funding you receive for college. To apply for a need based grant, you will need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid if the grant is government-funded. Privately funded grants will have other income verification requirements. Some grants will disqualify students who are also receiving funding from other sources, are over a set income threshold, or who already have a college degree. Also, you must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident to be eligible for most need based grants.
