We launched the Palantir Women in Engineering Scholarship in 2010 to celebrate and support women who are beginning careers in technology. We hope to encourage women to pursue computer science, engineering, and technical studies, and become leaders in the field.

This international scholarship program recognizes the work of Anita Borg, founder of the Institute for Women and Technology. Recipients are invited to attend the annual Google Scholars’ Retreat in San Francisco.

These funding opportunities are available from the Alpha Omega Epsilon National Foundation (AOE), a nonprofit organization encouraging female students to pursue degrees in fields related to engineering and technical science. Multiple scholarships are available.

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA) Dr. Nancy Foster Scholarship Program provides support for master’s and doctoral studies in oceanography, marine biology, maritime archaeology and all other science, engineering, social science and resource management disciplines involving ocean and coastal areas particularly by women and members of minority groups.

Eligibility:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident or citizen or a U.S. territory
  • Applicant must pursue or intend to pursue a masters or doctoral degree in oceanography, maritime archeology, or marine biology, including all science, engineering and resources management of the ocean and coastal areas
  • Must be attending a U.S. accredited institution
  • Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better,
  • Must maintain full time status for the duration of the scholarship award
