The Mercer Family Foundation provides scholarships of up to $7,500 for qualified declared math or physics majors who are attending one of seven Oregon universities:

Western Oregon University

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Applicant must be a currently-enrolled graduate or undergraduate student at an accredited college within the U.S.
  • Applicant must have a declared major of business, entrepreneurship, or a related field
  • Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Applicant must submit a copy of their current transcript

To apply for the scholarship, you must submit an original essay of up to 1,500 words that describes how medical equipment technology has changed the face of a college course and curriculum. Entries can also include a look toward the future and how this area of study will continue to evolve and advance.

Requirements for entry:

  • Must be enrolled at an accredited high school, college or university in the United States
  • Must be either in your final year of high school or enrolled at the undergraduate level in “good standing”
  • Must be age 16 or older
  • Must be attending a U.S.-based institution
  • Must maintain a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher (or equivalent)
  • Entries must be post marked by June 21st for our Summer Entry Deadline or Jan 15th for our Winter Entry Deadline

Oregon Farm Bureau Memorial Scholarship Project through the Oregon Farm Bureau Foundation for Education offers scholarships to any Oregon high school graduate or an Oregon home school graduate with a full year of college transcripts, 24 semester or 36 quarter hours, documented by a transcript and proof of parents Oregon residency preparing to continue his/her education through a community college, or a four year college or university, with plans to study in an agriculture and/or forestry related major. Oregon residency is to be confirmed by providing three consecutive land-based utility (power, sewer, water, or landline phone) bills within the last 6 months for review by committee.
