The Local Pride Scholarship is part of Realtor.com’s commitment to helping future generations achieve their education goals, and ultimately better position them for homeownership. Participating students will have a chance to celebrate their local community through an essay submission within the application. Three scholarships will be awarded -$2,500 to the first-place recipient, $1,000 to second-place, and $500 third-place.

Yearly Scholarship Amount: $2,500, $1,000, $500

Application Deadline: Sat, 06/30/2018

Eligibility requirements: 

• 18 years or older legal resident of the U.S. or District of Columbia student planning to attend, during the upcoming academic year
• an accredited two-year or four-year college or university or an accredited graduate school in the United States

Essay Prompt: In 300-500 words, tell us what makes you proud about where you live. In your response, focus on a neighborhood where you feel you are a “local” – one that you know well and have pride in – and tell us what that neighborhood is known for and why you prefer it above all others.
