Coos County High School graduates/equivalent AND/OR current legal Coos County resident/s, to further their education by obtaining a degree in a plant–related field. The field of study might include agriculture, biology, botany, biochemistry, entomology, forestry, horticulture, or landscape design.

Requirements for scholarship applicant (current college student):

Completed application along with a current photograph

Official college transcript(s)

Two current (written within the last 12 months) letters of recommendation, dated and signed

Telephone interview with Coos County Master Gardener Scholarship Committee during the

first week in May.

Requirements for Coos County high school graduate/equivalent applicant:

Completed application along with a current photograph

Official high school transcript or copy of your high school diploma or equivalent

Cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better

Acceptance letter to a college or university

Two current (written in the last 12 months) letters of recommendation are required, one of

the two letters should be from an instructor
