We have an exciting agenda:
– Club shirt payments are due!
– Updates on Silver Screen scheduling
– Planning the photo contest: “Aging Family. Aging Pets.”
– Filling out forms to volunteer for the Grace Center

Professor Courtney S. Campbell, Ph.D., Hundere Professor of Religion and Culture, School of History, Philosophy, and Religion has sent us a flier announcing a visit to OSU on January 27 by one of the leading medical humanists on gerontology and aging in the country, Dr. Thomas Cole, whose writing on aging has been nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.

We have an exciting agenda, including nominations for new officers, making preparations for our signature event, SILVER SCREEN, and planning for an upcoming special event THANK A VET  in connection with OSU’s first year celebrating Veteran’s Day!

Veteran Honor Ceremony & Reception

Fee: Free for Veterans; $15 ($12 in-city) for all others
In celebration of Veterans Day, the Center is hosting an honor ceremony and reception for all veterans, no matter which country or branch of service you served in.  This event is an opportunity for our community to show their appreciation for of all veterans. Senior Helpers, the sponsor of this event, will be recognizing each veteran in a pinning ceremony.
We ask that all participating veterans provide their branch of service and their country to the Center when they register. In order to ensure that we have enough supplies for all participating veterans, please provide this information by Tues., Oct 16. We encourage all veterans to wear their uniform to the ceremony. Refreshments will be served. Invite friends and family to this very special event.
