Incorporated and then filed with the State of Oregon Department of Commerce/Corporation Division in 1972 under the name: Oregon Extension Association. The Articles of Incorporation were amended to reflect the name: Oregon State University Extension Association in 1985. In 2017 they were amended to be sure the Articles and the Bylaws of the Association were in agreement on any sections included in both documents.

OSUEA is a Mutual Benefit with Members/Domestic Nonprofit Corporation on file with the Oregon Secretary of State—Corporation Division.
