{"id":17,"date":"2017-03-30T21:54:04","date_gmt":"2017-03-30T21:54:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/osubox\/?p=17"},"modified":"2017-03-30T23:52:19","modified_gmt":"2017-03-30T23:52:19","slug":"want-improve-box-skills","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/osubox\/2017\/03\/30\/want-improve-box-skills\/","title":{"rendered":"Want to improve your Box skills?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>You logged into Box created a folder or file or uploaded some data and now you want to learn more. \u00a0You want to improve your skills and \u00a0be more productive with Box. \u00a0Problem is, you just don&#8217;t know where to go for that information. \u00a0Well here are a few links to help figure out where to go.<\/p>\n<p>One of the first places you could start is the <a href=\"http:\/\/box.oregonstate.edu\/\">OSU Box<\/a> site and specifically our <a href=\"http:\/\/box.oregonstate.edu\/getting-started-box\">Getting Started with Box<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/box.oregonstate.edu\/support-box-faq\">FAQ<\/a> pages. \u00a0On the Getting Started page you will also find links to the local information sessions we conducted at OSU during our Box launch phase. \u00a0 This blog is also a good source of information as we will try and publish new and relevant information for OSU Box users.<\/p>\n<p>Traveling a bit farther afield you will want to head over to Box&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/community.box.com\/t5\/Community\/ct-p\/English\">Community<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/community.box.com\/t5\/Training\/ct-p\/Training\">Training<\/a> sites. \u00a0 On the community pages you can get information about how various elements within Box&#8217;s web UI work, read what issues other users are experiencing and what they did to fix or work around those issues. \u00a0One thing that Box is introducing is an Ask the Expert event tomorrow March 31st from 9am to 2pm PST. \u00a0You have to sign in to the Training forum to participate.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking of Box training, Box maintains a large collection of training material. \u00a0Besides the forum you will also find a <a href=\"https:\/\/community.box.com\/t5\/Helpful-Videos-for-New-Users\/bg-p\/UserVideoTutorialLilbrary\">video tutorial library<\/a>\u00a0with 19 videos that you can watch on-line or download to watch later. \u00a0If you want to go deeper you can go to the <a href=\"https:\/\/box.csod.com\/client\/box\/default.aspx\">Box University<\/a>\u00a0which has a number of free courses, both self-paced as well as live, that will take you through additional elements of Box. \u00a0When accessing Box University you can login with your OSU account. \u00a0To do that click on the &#8220;Login with Box&#8221;
