We are a diversified group of faculty, extension coordinators, researchers, and students. The long-term goal of this is to identify a palette of shrubs suitable for use in low-input un-irrigated landscapes in the region.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-181 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/olives\/files\/2019\/01\/Heather-Stoven-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"140\" srcset=\"https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/3206\/files\/2019\/01\/Heather-Stoven-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/3206\/files\/2019\/01\/Heather-Stoven-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/3206\/files\/2019\/01\/Heather-Stoven.jpg 592w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 140px) 100vw, 140px\" \/>Heather Stoven (Propagation Trial)<\/h5>\n<p><span class=\"TextRun SCXW56819992\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW56819992\">Heather\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW56819992\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"SpellingError SCXW56819992\">Stoven<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW56819992\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW56819992\">\u00a0is the Community Horticulturalist and Small Farms Extension Agent for Yamhill County.\u00a0 Her position\u00a0<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW56819992\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW56819992\">is housed<\/span><\/span><span class=\"TextRun SCXW56819992\" lang=\"EN-US\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\"><span class=\"NormalTextRun SCXW56819992\">\u00a0in McMinnville and she oversees the Master Gardener program, community horticulture and small farms. She is excited to work with both the Small Farms program and Community Horticulture. She joined the Small Farms team in the fall of 2017, and has worked on containerized strawberry transplants and field trials for organic fresh market strawberry production.
