In the College of Agriculture there are also a wide variety of opportunities for people to get involved with. Here are just a few of the club spotlights of opportunity waiting for you:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bird Nerds<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The OSU Bird Nerds is a student-run ornithological club at Oregon State University (OSU). The mission of the club is to provide OSU students with an opportunity to learn more about the amazing world of birds through bird-related activities, r\u00e9sum\u00e9-building experiences, guest speakers, species identification workshops, and field trips. Their club motto is \u201cGiving Back and Growing Forward\u201d. Throughout the year they volunteer at a variety of events and are also involved with Oregon FFA.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the activities that the club does are volunteering at Oregon FFA State Convention, CDE Days, Oregon Agriculture in the Classroom Fall Harvest Dinner, fun activities, monthly meetings, guest speakers and new this year is an industry tour.<\/p>\n<p>How can you get involved?<\/p>\n<p>Follow the club on Facebook @Oregon State Collegiate FFA and come to meetings!<\/p>\n<p>FFA background is not needed!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/newfields\/files\/2018\/01\/cffa.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1159\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/newfields\/files\/2018\/01\/cffa-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/677\/files\/2018\/01\/cffa-300x225.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/677\/files\/2018\/01\/cffa-624x468.jpeg 624w, https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/677\/files\/2018\/01\/cffa.jpeg 684w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Crop Science Club<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The mission of the club is to provide a medium for study, investigation, and discussion of problems related to technical farm crops and crop problems of the farm. They also strive to create close acquaintance with undergrads and grad students interested in farm crop production, open to all majors.
