On Saturday June 4th, members of the Oregon State University Chapter of Alpha Gamma Rho (AGR) took to the trails. However, instead of heading out to enjoy the great hiking trails of the McDonald-Dunn Forest, the members of AGR were helping to build them. Alpha Gamma Rho, a fraternity whose members are studying agriculture, forestry and natural resources, prides itself in giving back to the natural resource community and volunteering in ways that benefit awareness of our natural resources. Eleven of their members spent the morning and early afternoon rebuilding trails, specifically in Peavy Arboretum, in an area being developed to showcase different eco-zones found in Oregon. Peavy Arboretum is always looking for more trail volunteers and information can be found at http://www.cof.orst.edu/cf/forests/arboretum/.
