About Lynette Iseli

I grew up in Oregon and I came to Corvallis to complete my undergraduate degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Oregon State University. I decided to remain here to complete my Dietetic Internship at OSU. My love of food is one driver of my decision to enter the field of dietetics. I love to bake delicious desserts for myself and for others to enjoy. I know, this does seem contrary to the profession I will soon be part of. Fortunately my other hobby, working out, helps offset my baking. Although I don't know which area of dietetics I will ultimately end up in, I suspect I will be happiest if food can be involved.

Whole grains are the only way to go. They are, well, good for you. Maybe, you have heard that processed grains are unhealthy and should be banned. That sounds right… Or does it??

Well, there is much more to the story, and I will tell that story here. At the risk of losing all credibility, I will venture to say that processed grains are good. Yes, I know that sounds a bit blasphemous, but you can’t go away now. Please, I beg of you, don’t leave yet. Hear me out.
