About Rita Giles

I was born and raised in Modesto, California and attended Oregon State University where I graduated with a degree in Nutrition with an option in Dietetics in June 2012. After graduating I worked for a year as a diet aide and assistant dietary manager at a retirement community in Portland where I discovered my passion for senior nutrition and working with the aging population. Outside of work and school I like to keep myself busy and active by running, hiking, reading, crafting, and spending time with friends. I hope to one day work as a dietitian in long term care and hope that an opportunity to do so will present itself at some point in my career.
