About Skylar Bruner
I was born and raised in the small town of Brookfield, Missouri. During my junior year of high school I decided I wanted to have a career that pertains to health, but wasn’t sure exactly what path I would choose. It wasn’t until my sophomore year of college that it became certain that I would become a dietitian. During college I became specifically interested in diabetes education and disease prevention, elderly nutrition, and wellness. In May of 2014, I graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelors of Science in Dietetics. I am now a Dietetic Intern at Oregon State University. It's been a long journey to get where I am, but I'm glad I kept with it! As of now I spend most of my down time studying nutrition. I also enjoy spending time with family and friends, creating new recipes, exploring Oregon, burning stress through cardio and weight lifting, and relaxing at the lake back in Missouri.
