As I am only in my second term of my graduate program, I am just beginning to explore the vast world of wild horse management. For this assignment I focused on the effects of wild horses on ecosystems, current management practices, and explored how GIS applications can help with the management of wild horses on BLM land. While initially I planned on focusing on the wild horses of Oregon, I had to expand my search in order to investigate how GIS can be used in relation to wild horses.
