The Marine Resource Management department seeks to foster creative and meaningful research in the fields of physical science, biological science, social science, and education. In the past MRM students produced either a project report documenting their applied research experience in the program, or a thesis containing novel scientific research. As the MRM program has evolved, however, the difference in the caliber and breadth of these documents- both project and thesis- has grown fundamentally non-existent. As a testament to the academic rigor of our students and the high level at which research is being conducted within the MRM program the project track will be phased out, and all students will produce a thesis containing scholarly work.
Copies of theses and project reports past and present are made available via OSU’s Scholar’s Archive. The MRM collection can be found here.
