My name is Kirsten Petersen and I am an IT manager in Information Services at OSU.
I started working in IT in 1994, primarily building PCs and supporting a Novell network. Since 1996 I have worked at OSU in various IT capacities, including helpdesk, desktop support, Windows system administration, Linux system administration, backups, network security, email, DNS and DHCP. My personal philosophy about IT is that we should be “smart and helpful” and remain “relevant” by understanding what technologies people need to get their jobs done. Also, that we should work hard to automate ourselves into oblivion. 🙂
