Reshma Saujani is a New York lawyer with a history of tackling social injustice. During her run for political office in 2010, she noticed that girls in the schools she visited were not being taught computer science. After twice being defeated at her attempt at beating the incumbent, she founded the non-profit organization Girls Who Code, which provides summer intensive programs for girls in high school who wish to learn coding languages as well as work on their confidence and ability to communicate effectively.
