But in the field of education finding free materials that fulfill your needs often proves difficult. In this blog post, I have annotated\u00a0a short list of websites that provide free resources that can be used by anyone (instructional designer, teacher or student) and for any purpose from a personal or professional website to a multimedia presentation to an online course or\u00a0assignment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1373\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/inspire\/files\/2016\/12\/photo-1103595_640-copy-150x150.png\" alt=\"Picture Image Icon\" width=\"80\" height=\"62\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pixabay.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Pixabay<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nWhat is great about Pixabay is that not only can you use these images, but you can modify them to suit your needs and\u00a0even use them for commercial purposes without having to pay any fees. Nearly all\u00a0are free of copyrights, which means attribution is NOT required\u2026so no need to worry about citing sources here.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1376\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/inspire\/files\/2016\/12\/speakers-1521314_640-2-150x150.png\" alt=\"Audio Sound Icon\" width=\"80\" height=\"108\" srcset=\"https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/1504\/files\/2016\/12\/speakers-1521314_640-2-223x300.png 223w, https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/1504\/files\/2016\/12\/speakers-1521314_640-2.png 475w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 80px) 100vw, 80px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freesound.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Freesound<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0&amp; <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/soundbible.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">SoundBible<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nThese sound effects sites\u00a0are \u201copen source\u201d which simply means everyone\u00a0can create and share. Great for teachers providing feedback for students or for anyone to use for creative purposes. For these sites please check the \u201cterms of use\u201d as some require attributions or have restrictions on use.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-1375\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/inspire\/files\/2016\/12\/web-1873373_640-150x150.png\" alt=\"World Wide Web Internet Icon\" width=\"80\" height=\"80\" srcset=\"https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/1504\/files\/2016\/12\/web-1873373_640-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/1504\/files\/2016\/12\/web-1873373_640-300x300.png 300w, https:\/\/osu-wams-blogs-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com\/blogs.dir\/1504\/files\/2016\/12\/web-1873373_640.png 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 80px) 100vw, 80px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/h5p.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">H5P<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\nThis open-source authoring tool\u00a0site can be used to\u00a0create multimedia presentations or activities and games that involve drag and drops, hot spots, fill-in-the blanks, etc. To create content all you need to do is register with the site (which is free) and either install the web plugin or embed the content on your site.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s keep this list going\u2026For this I encourage you to post a blog comment listing any free resources (images, videos, sound effects, games, tools, etc.) that you have found.
