Microbiology\u00a0students’ agar art submission has made it into the top 50 entries of the American\u00a0Society of Microbiology’s (ASM) Agar Art Competition. C<\/span>ongratulations, Micro students.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There is an esteemed panel of judges, but also\u00a0<\/span>a People’s Choice Award. Check out the creative bacterial art on the site and vote for your favorite <\/span>at MSA’s People’s Choice Award<\/a>!<\/p>\n

All ASM members can participate in the annual agar art contest by simply submitting a piece of art using microbes as paint and agar as the canvas. Participants must also include a short description explaining what they created in a way that would engage a broad audience.<\/p>\n

A multitude of Oregon\u00a0<\/span>State microbiology students\u00a0prepared these<\/span>\u00a0beautiful agar plates<\/span>\u00a0displaying their individual artistic talents using microbes\u00a0as<\/span>\u00a0their palette.
