Simon Brundage – Student Spotlight

BrundageSimon’s first year at Oregon State was a great start to his college experience. Not only has he made new friends and engaged in a variety of communities, but he’s also excelled academically.

This year he started working with Dr. Vincent Remcho, researching the construction of microfluidic devices and the refinement of quantum dots for detecting DNA in solution. For this work, he was nominated for and awarded the Honors College DeLoach Work Scholarship, which will allow him to continue the research next year.

In addition to his involvement in research, his high academic performance also earned him the Waldo-Cummings Outstanding Student Award.

This summer, he looks forward to working as a START Leader and will begin working as an Ambassador for the University Honors College.
