Lauren spent her first year at OSU combining academics with research, extracurricular activities, and a rich social life to make a very memorable experience.
She became a member of both the Pre-Therapy & Allied Health Club and the National Residence Hall Honorary. She also started working with Kathy Gunter on her Better Bones and Balance Program DVD project, and will continue the research in the fall.
The most rewarding experience for Lauren was serving as both the Wellness Activities Coordinator and Secretary-Treasurer for Sackett Hall’s Executive Council. She planned events like a “Yule Ball” dance and a Ramen Chef Event, as well as forming a team for Relay for Life. In the spring, she won the Hall Council Member of the Year Award.
Even with all this, she still went to every home football game of the season! Her first-year experiences allowed her to become more confident and outgoing, and she looks forward to the new experiences that next year will bring.
