JasonChemical Engineering Senior Jason Castaneda recieved a Waldo-Cummings Oustanding Student Award for outstanding academic achievement this school year. To be considered for this prestigious award, students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or above and demonstrate extracurricular leadership and engagement.

During his time at OSU, Jason conducted research with HC Dean Toni Doolen at Boeing. Outside the classroom Jason connected to the greater OSU community through extracurricular activities. He was involved in the men’s club soccer team and participated in Dr. Kevin Ahern’s STEM Leaders Program, gaining lasting friendships and creating a well rounded college experience. “I wanted to make the most of my time at OSU,” Jason says.
