For this very special Photo of the Week, I have the distinct honor of ringing in the official 50-year milestone for the OSU Hatfield Marine Science Center!
Exactly 50 years ago today, the Marine Science Center was dedicated by Oregon State University, in partnership with the coastal and university communities and statewide and federal leadership. The Marine Science Center – not yet named for Senator Mark O. Hatfield – opened to much fanfare, as you will see in the historic photos below and in our archives.
