I am studying Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in communications at Oregon State University’s College of Public Health and Human Sciences. Before attending Oregon State, I attended Portland Community College and Linn-Benton Community College completing most of my prerequisites. I am 20 years old, love being active and am fluent in English and Spanish. Before age 17, I was overweight and inactive.
I weighed nearly 210 pounds my junior year in high school and the summer before entering my senior year I turned my life around and let the beauty of exercise and proper nutrition take over my life for the better.
I continued running excessively and eventually teamed up with my father, Dennis Godby, my cousin, Jonas Ely, and my brother, Isaiah Godby, to trek across the country by foot from San Francisco to New York City in the Summer 2011. The journey was 3,003 miles that extended for 124 days. In Summer 2012, I ran from the USA/Canada border to Sacramento, Calif.. This run was a shorter run, extending to 1,000 miles in 34 days. Both of these runs were to promote the causes of naturopathic medicine and other forms of natural medicine throughout America
