{"id":83,"date":"2019-06-25T15:29:05","date_gmt":"2019-06-25T22:29:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/hannahgosnell\/?page_id=83"},"modified":"2019-06-25T15:45:47","modified_gmt":"2019-06-25T22:45:47","slug":"home-page","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/hannahgosnell\/","title":{"rendered":"Home Page"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am a <strong>geographer<\/strong> with research and teaching interests in\u00a0<strong>agricultural landscape change<\/strong>, <strong>water resource management<\/strong>, <strong>climate change<\/strong> and <strong>environmental governance<\/strong> in the context of rural working landscapes; and the ways in which laws and institutions might evolve to better reflect changing geographies and facilitate social-ecological transformation when necessary.<\/p>\n<p>My current research is focused on the human dimensions of <strong>forest<\/strong> and <strong>range management<\/strong> in the <strong>Pacific Northwest<\/strong> and the role collaborative conservation is playing in enhancing social-ecological resilience. I\u2019m especially interested in human-wildlife interactions and strategies for\u00a0reducing conflict and enhancing coexistence.<\/p>\n<p>Most of my research takes place in the <strong>U.S. West<\/strong>, but I\u2019m also involved in comparative research in Australia and Kenya. I am a <strong>qualitative researcher<\/strong> committed to co-producing knowledge with people who have direct experience with natural resource management.
