A round trip of 6 mostly flat miles of trail.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When<\/strong>: June 12<sup>th<\/sup>, meeting at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opalcreek.org\/directions-to-opal-creek\/\">trailhead<\/a> at 10am. \u00a0We expect the hike to take about 3-4 hours with pictures, stopping to take in the sites, and lunch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Getting there<\/strong>: You\u2019ll find driving directions no matter where you\u2019re coming from on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opalcreek.org\/directions-to-opal-creek\/\">this website.<\/a>\u00a0Drivers will need a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/main\/willamette\/passes-permits\/recreation\">NW Forest Pass<\/a> or to pay $5 on site<\/p>\n<p><strong>Carpooling: <\/strong>We also encourage <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/12BjZn8cospFfePvcAC8Diwrs9xpgpwlmevnYBoTh-eg\/edit?usp=sharing\">carpooling<\/a>! Please fill out this <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/spreadsheets\/d\/12BjZn8cospFfePvcAC8Diwrs9xpgpwlmevnYBoTh-eg\/edit?usp=sharing\">Google<\/a> Sheet if you have room in your car or if you\u2019re looking for a ride.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Packing<\/strong>: \u00a0Here\u2019s what to bring!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Good shoes for hiking<\/li>\n<li>Snacks<\/li>\n<li>Lunch<\/li>\n<li>Plenty of water<\/li>\n<li>Sunscreen<\/li>\n<li>A camera<\/li>\n<li>A swimsuit and towel for the bold!
