{"id":735,"date":"2014-11-19T12:57:54","date_gmt":"2014-11-19T19:57:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/fernhopper\/?p=735"},"modified":"2014-11-19T12:57:54","modified_gmt":"2014-11-19T19:57:54","slug":"scholarship-application-now-open-2015-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/fernhopper\/2014\/11\/19\/scholarship-application-now-open-2015-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"Scholarship Application Now Open for 2015-2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Being a college student is expensive.\u00a0 Students work hard, in and out of the classroom and there is an opportunity to be rewarded for all of that diligent labor!\u00a0 The <a href=\"https:\/\/scholarship.ucsadm.oregonstate.edu\/prod\/app_login.php\">College of Forestry Scholarship Application<\/a> for the 2015-2016 Academic Year is now open!<\/p>\n<p><strong>To be eligible to receive a scholarship award ALL students must:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Maintain full-time enrollment (at least 12 credits) during Fall, Winter, and Spring terms.<\/li>\n<li>The College of Forestry must be on record as your primary college (for students who have double majors).<\/li>\n<li>Make reasonable and continued progress toward your College of Forestry degree program while receiving a scholarship.<\/li>\n<li>If dual enrolled in the Degree Partnership Program, at least 6 of the minimum 12 required per term credits must be at OSU.\u00a0 You also must provide the CoF proof of your community college registration.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain high academic standards (generally considered to be at least a 3.0 OSU Accumulative GPA for continuing students; minimum GPA expectations are similar for first-year students and transfer students).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Through the generosity of our donors, the College awarded over $500,000 in undergraduate scholarships for the\u00a02014-15 academic year with individual awards ranging from $1,000 &#8211; $9,000. The average cumulative GPA of those students awarded was 3.53.
