{"id":6,"date":"2016-04-11T21:13:16","date_gmt":"2016-04-11T21:13:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.oregonstate.edu\/extensionweb\/?p=6"},"modified":"2019-10-11T06:55:00","modified_gmt":"2019-10-11T13:55:00","slug":"believe-extension-website","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dev.blogs.oregonstate.edu\/extensionweb\/2016\/04\/11\/believe-extension-website\/","title":{"rendered":"What do you believe our Extension website could be?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past few\u00a0weeks, your Extension web steering committee has been actively engaged in the\u00a0research phase of the <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1o_7fanLPjjTs9_-hoHLvDgLb6Ca_v9MzyN4CIM0GUI8\/edit?pref=2&amp;pli=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OSU Extension web upgrade project<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As you know, the goal of this project is to make our next generation of OSU\u00a0Extension websites user-driven and truly awesome.\u00a0We want OSU Extension\u2019s web presence to become a go-to, trusted resource. And knowing that people often turn online for answers, we want to be sure they find us (even if they don\u2019t know they should be searching for\u00a0\u201cExtension\u201d).<\/p>\n<p><strong>What does awesome look like?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RpvIB00_Zts\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Hear what the steering committee thinks<\/a>. What do\u00a0you\u00a0believe our website could be? Let us know what questions you have.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What has happened lately?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none\">\n<ul>\n<li>We talked with Extension program leaders and regional administrators. They shared some innovative ideas, and other useful feedback.<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019re working with the OSU College of Business\u2019s marketing research team (Close to the Customer, C2C). They\u2019re\u00a0helping us look outward and inward for ideas on where and how people are getting the kind of information OSU Extension can provide.<\/li>\n<li>We\u2019re gathering basic data and analytics on our current\u00a0websites.
